My obsession with Elvis Presley may have contributed to this blog the first of the 2014 year, but either way I was going to write it anyway. Today is the day of Elvis Presley's birthday and for the first time in over 6 years I get to go see an impersonator Elvis concert. I am very happy and excited to go see this guys, all I hope is that he gives a good show.
I have read a lot of stories pertaining to Elvis's life/death and it seems there is a lot of rumors out there. Let me see if I can set a few straight: Yes Elvis was a twin his twin was still born and was named Jessie Garon. Elvis was NOT a drug addict, he did die with many medications in his system but non were the cause of his death. Elvis had lots of health problems starting from his time in the army, Elvis also had hypertension that was a big contribution to his heart attack not because of drug use. Furthermore the medications in his system were all prescribed to him and were not found in excess. Even though Elvis had many girlfriends his first and true love was always and remains to be Priscilla. Elvis's least favorite movie he made was G.I Blues (even though it is one of MY favorites) he used to say it was because they had him sing every-time he turned around. Many of you are wondering how would I know so much if I wasn't around when all this took place. Well one simple answer I have always loved Elvis since I was able to walk, talk and sing. I don't like to say that I am a fan because a fan to me is just a crazed loony that has no background on why they like a certain person or thing. I am an Enthusiast, I know exactly why I like Elvis so much and what he has influenced in my life and why. I also know about his life and what it meant to him, I think I may know alot. But if you were to ask me I would love to pick Priscilla's brain for more actual information. but that maybe a reach or a dream for now. Well till the next time... I am off to the Elvis show... May you all have a Happy Elvis Birthday Day!!!!
